DriveEncryption is a useful application that adds more security to your removable storage devices. It is able to encrypt various disk drives simultaneously.
After you have launched the application, you will see all the available storage devices on a list which shows the disk letter, capacity, and status. If you select a storage device you can see at the right of the window more details such as disk format, heads, bytes per sector, sectors per track, etc. If you insert a removable storage device while the program is running, you can use the "Scan for hardware changes" option to update the Disk List on the screen. You can encrypt various disk drives simultaneously; you just have to mark the disk drive letters that will be encrypted, press the "Encrypt" button, and the program will prompt for the password - you can optionally show the password to avoid mistakes while typing.
If a disk drive is encrypted you will see some keys attached to the disk drive icon and its status will say "Encrypted". If somebody tries to access an encrypted disk, the system will display a message: "The disk is not formatted!" and its information will be never displayed until the disk drive is decrypted. The encryption and decryption processes are very fast.
